To celebrate the first ever "Family Day" we thought we'd spend the day at the zoo. However, Sebastian was yawning and rubbing his eyes by 9:30 this morning so we were weary of heading out, as we figured he'd just pass out in the car on the way there.
Instead we thought we'd wait until Sebastian had his nap and then head to the zoo. *Ha!* Sebastian must have been on to us and our grand ol' plan making as he decided that he didn't feel like napping this morning and it wasn't until after lunch that he settled down for a two hour nap. Once awoke we finally managed to get out of the house... we took a walk to Shoppers Drug Mart!
Can't say it was a fun-filled day packed with excitement but we shared it together as a family and really, that's all that matters... Because (and picture/insert Rick Mercer here taking his pause before he delivers his final line during his "Rant") every day is Family Day in our household and we don't need a holiday to remind us of such. =)

this family day thing is totally overrated, and it would be much more useful if it was in June or something. Maybe Sept. 19th. that would work for me too.
