I love Father's Day as it reminds me of how lucky we are to have such a caring and loving Dad in our lives. When we met close to 16 years ago I never planned out our future. I never sat back and pictured us with kids nor did I fall in love with Jamie for the type of dad I thought he would become.
Once Sebastian was born our commitment to one another and love grew in ways I wasn't expecting. It's one thing to be committed to someone but to see that love transcend into unconditionally loving another little being who is totally dependent on you is a whole other matter. From soothing Sebastian the first couple weeks of his life as I was bed bound and unable too, to getting up with me each and every night and sitting with me while I breastfed, to changing Seb's diapers in the middle of the night and doing his baths, and to being silly and playful and full of love Jamie is a wonderful father and today I'm happy we get to honour him.
